Parent Communication

Keep parents informed without repeating the same work.

Messages go out from the record that already knows which parent belongs to which student — so a fee reminder reaches the families with a balance, and an absence alert reaches the right parent the same day.

The problem

The same notice gets retyped into a dozen class groups, and fee reminders are sent one number at a time from somebody's personal phone.

What SchoolerHub sends

Two transactional message types, plus school announcements.

  • Fee reminders, sent from the dues screen to parents who actually have a balance
  • Student absence alerts, triggered from attendance so parents know the same day
  • School announcements published as notices or circulars
  • Messaging activity recorded in the system for staff reference

Targeted announcements

Publish once, to the right people.

  • Audiences of all, staff, teachers, parents, students or specific classes
  • Notice and circular announcement types
  • No retyping the same message into separate class groups

How delivery works

SchoolerHub uses MSG91 as the messaging provider. WhatsApp messages are delivered through the WhatsApp Business Platform operated by Meta; SMS goes through Indian telecom operators.

  • Pre-approved WhatsApp message templates only — no free-form marketing to parents
  • Only the template's variables are shared with the provider
  • Student documents, Aadhaar numbers, addresses and marks are never sent to messaging providers
  • Configured per school during implementation

Outcome: The right parents get the right message, from the record that already knows who they are.

Messaging depends on your own WhatsApp Business Platform and SMS sender approvals, and charges are usage-based. SchoolerHub does not include unlimited messaging.

Parent Communication — common questions

Which messaging provider does SchoolerHub use?

MSG91, operated by Walkover Web Solutions Pvt. Ltd. WhatsApp messages are delivered through the WhatsApp Business Platform operated by Meta, and SMS through Indian telecom operators.

Can we send any message we like over WhatsApp?

No. WhatsApp messages use pre-approved templates and are limited to transactional, school-related communication such as fee reminders and absence alerts. Promotional and marketing messages to parents are not permitted.

What parent data is shared with the messaging provider?

Only what the approved template requires — typically the recipient's mobile number, the student's name and class, and the amount or date concerned. Documents, Aadhaar numbers, addresses and marks are never shared.

How does a parent stop receiving messages?

They tell the school, which can change or remove the contact number held for them. Because we act for the school, we cannot unilaterally remove a number from the school's records.
